using quicklook to easily compare two images side-by-side

if you do design work or a photographer, you may find this little trick helpful. you can compare two images side-by-side in fullscreen using only quicklook. here's how:

first, select two images you want to compare.

press space (for popup) or cmd+option+y (opens in fullscreen). this opens up a slideshow of your two selected images. one of the images will be shown. at this point you could just press left/right buttons to flip between images. follow next step to get a side-by-side view.

press the Index Sheet icon:

..and voila! your two images side-by-side.

from here you can press escape to go back to one image mode, press it again to close quicklook.
cool, eh?
